Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a referral from my veterinarian?
Yes.  We work with your veterinarian to provide the highest quality health care for your animal.  Click on the following link to download a "

If your veterinarian would like to learn more about animal chiropractic, we welcome the opportunity to let them know how we may be able to help.  If you are unable to obtain a referral, we will provide for you a number of veterinarians that are "chiropractic friendly".

Do chiropractic treatments hurt?
All treatments are very gentle in nature.  Occasionally animals at first may seem uneasy about the treatment because it is a new experience for them.  Once they realize that we are helping them feel better, they relax and seem to really enjoy the treatments.

Where does Dr. Hal see patients?
Dr. Hal is based out of the south metro area.  Currently, he makes house-calls and barn-calls throughout the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota.  He also sees small animals at Southview Animal Hospital in Inver Grove Heights and St. Paul Pet Hospital as well as his office in Apple Valley.   There may be a trip charge in addition to the treatment charge.  If you have a barn with multiple animals, or you arrange others to meet at your location, the trip charge may be split among the owners.
