Functional Movement and Supportive Tape

Taping to assist in healing

Dr. Hal has been using kinesiology tape on people since 2000.  He has also been using it on his equine patients since 2011 once he figured out how to keep it attached.  Dr. Hal prefers to use "Rocktape" brand tape for this therapy as they are better than the rest in regards to training and quality of their products.

FMT Equine addresses functional kinesiology taping methods to  reduce or control pain, manage swelling or edema, increase joint range  of motion, improve muscle function; and maintain a level of  functionality and comfort for the horse throughout the rehabilitation  process.  FMT Equine taping techniques utilize “longitudinal anatomy”, or a “movement  patterns” concept as a means of connecting the brain to the body’s  uninterrupted fascial web in order to enhance rehab and athletic performance via cutaneous (skin), and hair follicle stimulation.
